During family time of devotions I would recommend taking time to discuss what was read in the word and get in agreement. We sometimes ask for more independence in the things assigned to our children but a greater emphasis needs to be placed on inputting the necessary values needed to succeed and knowing where their dependence should reside.
Here are a few words and phrases for the family as we gather and read the Word.
From the book of Hebrews chapter 12 and 13 NIV. Read and explore the passages making sure the family understands the words and phrases in their context.
- let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.””
