Looking for meaning

“Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive guidance by exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, the words of the wise and their riddles. Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭1:5-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As our children grow, we want the best that life has to offer for them. The love is indescribable, uncontainable and must be rooted in faith. This faith allows us to seek guidance from our Heavenly Father as we prepare to build a family. To be willing to love our bride unconditionally, and ready to die for our bride only comes from what He has done for us. For I am not strong enough on my own, challenged with enduring the hardships and blessing associated with raising a family. Operating without fear as the world appears to be merciless in its onslaught. I must be like a child that seek direction, discipline and the love a parent brings. The love of Jesus is awesome and will serve as a firm foundation to build our families on. As the role of Dad and Mom, Husband and Wife in our society is trampled on and relegated to a focus on self. I yearn for direction as a child. The idea of going it along is too costly. The fragility requires care and many P’s (protection, provision, parenting, presence) I cannot sustain without Him. Grossly inadequate!

The love my bride deserves is not in the form of anything that dies or is mined by the hands of men. The love that lives and never perishes, in its presence all things submits and gives respect because of what is willing to endure. In this I am not enough on my own to love my wife as she deserves. The demonstration of love that my son and daughter needs starts with Him and resides in Him.

Parents who are we fouling or better yet why are we being fooled into thinking every breadth is not measured. I pray that our nation learn line by line why Jesus has to be at the center because everything else perishes.
